as a child i remember it being in the spice rack. i now have 4 children and everybody loves it! my kids say 'pass the old bay'. once i was boating and the only stuff i had on the boat was a grill grate, wood, beer, a chicken and old bay. i fired up some great food thanks to old bay.

Whenever I travel to the East Coast, I need to find "real" blue crab crabcakes. There is this awesome seafood market in Wayne, PA, called Seafood USA. They have the best crabcakes, and they will broil them right there, I buy a can of "Old Bay"and sprinkle even more on my crabcakes or shrimp.

Old Bay on sweet potato fries and on butternut squash cubes mixed with olive oil and onions on a baking sheet in the oven. I put it on zucchini too.

Old Bay should be your main spice. My favorite way to use this spice is an end of the summer clambake. Simply delicious. There are no substitutions.

Since moving to Utah for school, I have desperately missed my Old Bay Seasoning that I grew up with in Maryland. In my dorm room, we have Potluck nights and I always make crab cakes with my trusty tin of Old Bay. I have converted many a Utahn to the delights of Old Bay seafood.

I put it on my popcorn, in my shrimp fritters, in my scrambles eggs with crab and jalapenos! It is great with shrimp and grits, and love putting it on tomatos stuffed with minced basa fish and breadcrumbs. A mild white fish makes a great stuffing for merliton, also known as chayote squash.

As a native Marylander, I've known about Old Bay since I was a kid. I've spread the gospel of Old Bay ever since I've lived out west. It's sold in stores now. In the 80's I'd stock up on 5 tins when I would go home to visit my folks. It will always be a root to my heritage.

Well it's not that crazy - it's your Sweet & Spicy Salmon recipe but I use good ol' white sugar. I thought I was so original then this email arrived. Another hint - when you don't know what to put on "it" put on some Old Bay. :)

As a Maryland transplant, Old Bay is on just about everything! From seafood to poultry... even on a bowl of ramen it’s yummy! My favorite is on steamed shrimp and Maryland Blue Crabs! Mmmmm heaven! If I can't get to the East coast we just have them shipped out to the West!!

I am a Baltimore/Eastern shore native who has brought numerous old bay recipes to my beach town here in Southern California. Biggest crowd pleaser so far? BAY BAGEL SANDWICH---toasted bagel, cream cheese, thick slice of fresh tomato and Old Bay with Garlic all over ---DELICIOUS!

Originally from Maryland, I have been spreading the Old Bay way to all those who will listen. Old Bay is in my blood I think.

Nothing heats up the Southwest like fish tacos seasoned with Old Bay.
